Ramez Jamali - Gallery Owner
Born in Peshawar, Pakistan, close to the border of Afghanistan, Ramez Jamali spent his childhood among the dusty foothills of the Himalayan Mountain Range. This scenic
landscape instilled Ramez with the appreciation and wonderment of natural beauty, which helped to later fuel his artistic creativity.
A man of many talents, Ramez embarked on journeys that furthered his education,
athleticism, and spiritual development. Ramez’s tremendous passion for the sport of cricket lead him to England where he played for a local team until an injury sidelined his dreams of a sports career.
Ramez’s desire to seek further fulfillment led him to the United States. It was here where he was offered the opportunity of a lifetime - to apprentice under his uncle, world-renowned contemporary artist, Jamali. Ramez’s artistic talents immediately shown through, so Jamali encouraged Ramez to continue on this artistic path. Ramez worked closely with Jamali to gain knowledge of painting techniques, methods, and most importantly, the understanding of and respect for the personal connection with art.
Although the influence of his uncle is apparent, Ramez has developed a personal style and technique all his own. The hallmark of Ramez’s painting is his distinctive use of bright colors and bold shapes. In both his figurative and abstract compositions, vivid
pigments and layered textures create powerful beauty and drama. Ramez’s passion and
creativity are easily communicated through his expressive compositions.
Ramez’s pieces are currently on view in various galleries and design showrooms
throughout the country. Collectors and investors in the Fine Art World have recognized Ramez’s talents, and in return, have enthusiastically received his artwork.
